The Certificate in Masonry (Apprenticeship) is a (1200hours) training programme 18 months on Apprenticeship training mode to secondary five (S5) school leavers and mature learners. This is equivalent to three(3) semesters. To qualify for the certificate, a learner has to successfully complete all the required units/courses on the programme. Total number of credits to be accumulated is 120 credits. A graduate with the Certificate in Masonry is one who can perform duties in Masonry and have basic workshop skills as an apprentice in Masonry under direct supervision.
Learners wishing to apply for the Certificate in Masonry (Apprenticeship) must have attained one of the following
* National Examinations: 40% or better in English, Mathematics and Physics or Design Technology
* 40% in General English, General Mathematics, and General Science
* Successfully completed TVET program with 40%. Others: Records of Achievement with evidence of interest in the relevant field, previous skills acquired and relevant references)
Candidates who have successfully completed Secondary Education
or
with one-year work experience. From Category 01 (on page 4 and 5)
